Christmas in the Square 2018
Frisco, TEXAS (September 18, 2018) – Frisco Square Property Owners Association, NBC5 and City of Frisco, proudly present Christmas in the Square at Frisco Square, which opens November 23, 2018 and continues through December 31, 2018. Christmas in the Square Light Show will be open nightly from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Skate the Square, a real ice skating rink is 45’ x 75’; located at the southwest corner of Main Street and Coleman Boulevard across from Toyota Stadium is returning on November 23, 2018. This daily event is in addition to the already popular, family-friendly events scheduled during the 14th Annual Christmas in the Square, which hosts over 750,000, making it one of the largest events in North Texas.
Skate the Square, will be open Monday through Thursday between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. (From December 17 to January 7, extended hours of 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm) and each Friday through Sunday Noon to 10 p.m. except on Christmas Day and weather permitting. The ice skating cost is $12 per person, per day, including skate rentals. The daily price includes open public skating for as long as visitors want to stay within the open and close times. To reserve the ice rink for private use, you may call 214-444-8758 and the cost is $300 per hour and available Monday – Thursday from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm and before opening hours daily.
Frisco Square is thrilled to announce a new and exciting element for all to enjoy, an enchanting Christmas Tree Maze. This will be located in a tent at the corner of Coleman Boulevard and Frisco Square Boulevard November 23 – December 31st. The hours of operation are the same as Skate the Square (closed Christmas day). The cost is $8.00 per person, per visit. If you bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Operation Once in a Lifetime (https://operationonceinalifetime.com/) the cost is $5.00 person.
Parachuting Santa and his elves will arrive on November 23, 2018 at 5pm to kick off Christmas in the Square. From 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm join Frisco Square for the Grand Opening to include the Light & Music Show, Christmas Tree Maze, Skate the Square, Holiday Skating Show, Visits with Santa, Trackless Train, Christmas Tree Lot provided by Boy Scouts Troop 51 and more.

Frisco Square Announces Arts in the Square 2019
Frisco, TEXAS (July 3, 2018) – Frisco Square announces the 10th annual Arts in the Square event, March 30-31, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Artists may begin the application process through the ZAPP Application web site beginning July 5, 2018. The application is only available through www.friscosquare.com/AITS or www.ZAPPlication.org, and the registration deadline is January 18, 2019.
Arts in the Square is an annual juried fine arts and crafts festival featuring over 120 of the best local and regional artists selling their handmade creations on March 30-31, 2019 in the country’s fastest growing cities. This tenth-annual festival is presented by Frisco Square in collaboration with Frisco Independent School District, with proceeds going to the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services. Frisco Square hosts and presents events throughout the year and has a reputation of bringing out the high-end buying crowd. Every aspect of this event is artist-focused and seeks to provide a venue for enhancing the artist’s visibility in the community. During the festival, cash prizes for Best-in-Show ($500) and Juror’s Choice ($500), along with student prizes will be presented. Other amenities include free parking, and artist’s hospitality.
Arts in the Square had over 30,000 visitors in 2018 and they enjoyed shopping for art, listening to live music, strolling on the square while visiting each artist’s booth, making their own art, and eating at one of the many fine restaurants located in Frisco Square.

Frisco Square Announces Music in the Square
Frisco, TEXAS (May 29, 2018) – Frisco Square Property Owners Association presents Music in the Square a free summer event held on Simpson Plaza each Friday night in June, from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Music in the Square is a free event featuring an amazing line-up of talented musicians. Bring friends and family, grab a picnic, some blankets or chairs and enjoy listening to a variety of musicians as the sun sets.
The summer series kicks off this Friday, June 1st at 7:30 pm with Moving Colors, one of the most popular bands in the Dallas area performing a wide variety of music and incorporating some buckets & trash cans in their routine as well. They love to have fun on stage and are perfect for all ages.
Remaining Summer line up:
June 8th Zen and Tonic Band music spans several decades of the best pop, rock, and blues genres. Comprised of professional musicians, this is one to “get your groove on”.
June 15th Jake Odin and the Marching Band is an all original blues funk band. The band is comprised of members of all ages and genres of music, giving it a very signature and unique sound. Fans of The Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, Blues Traveler and The Black Crowes will “dig them”.
June 22nd Mix Tape a North Texas based band bringing new life and energy to the live music scene. A six member band with musicians from different backgrounds and experiences that play all the songs we want to hear. Mix Tape plays a unique list of cover songs from the 70s to current day of rock, pop, and alternative music.
June 29th Local Yoakam Founder and front man, Rodney Smith, has amassed a collection of very talented musicians to support this unique and growing popular sound. Together they create a uniquely edgy approach to old country music. That, mixed with classic rock and original music from Rodney, will have you rocking to songs you didn’t know could rock.
