Bret Gaither is a Sherman Texas native with over a decade of experience in arts and cultural programming across the country. Recently, Bret returned to Texas and stepped into the Arts, Culture, and Special Events Manager role with the City of Frisco. He has worked with teams in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Louisville, Oklahoma City, and Dallas to create arts programming and raise millions of dollars for arts and cultural organizations.
Catherine Hitch is a native of Dallas, Texas. She is a self-taught artist who enjoys curating her home and working primarily with architecture and design. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science and has worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. She currently works as the Art Curator Assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center where she enjoys focusing on modern contemporary art and textiles. Catherine lives in East Dallas with her husband, 2 year old daughter, and 2 adopted boxers.
Arts in the Square in Frisco Square will feature over 120 of some of the best local and regional artists selling their handmade creations. Artists compete in the following categories: Fine Arts/Graphics, Pottery, Textiles, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Photography, Wood, and Miscellaneous.
Feast your eyes on incredible art, sit and relax by Simpson Plaza, listen to local talent, watch ongoing performing arts, enjoy interactive art activities, and treat yourself to the food and spirits available at the variety of award-winning restaurants on site.
Arts in the Square is a Juried Fine Arts and Crafts festival featuring over 120 of the best local and regional artists selling their handmade creations. In addition to providing the community with a high-quality cultural event and Frisco ISD student performances, the festival proceeds assist local charity partners by hosting an Empty Bowls booth benefiting Frisco Family Services.
