Frisco Square Announces Music in the Square
Frisco, TEXAS (May 24, 2016) – Frisco Square Property Owners Association present Music in the Square a free summer event held on Simpson Plaza each Friday night in June, from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Music in the Square is a free event featuring an amazing line-up of talented musicians. Bring friends and family, grab a picnic, some blankets or chairs and enjoy listening to a variety of musicians as the sun sets.
Mix Tape kicks off Music in the Square favorite on June 3, 2016 at 7:30pm. Mix Tape a North Texas based band is bringing new life and energy to the live music scene. A six member band with musicians from different backgrounds and experiences that play all the songs we want to hear. Mix Tape plays a unique list of cover songs from the 70s to current day of rock, pop, and alternative music.

June 10 Local Yoakam is the newest up and coming band from right here in Frisco, Texas. Local Yoakam is a four year old project that started out doing Dwight Yoakam covers exclusively, but had other tricks in its bag of goodies. Founder and front man, Rodney Smith, has amassed a collection of very talented musicians to support this unique and growing popular sound. Together they create a uniquely edgy approach to old country music. That, mixed with classic rock and original music from Rodney, will have you rocking to songs you didn’t know could rock.
June 17th Moving Colors is one of the most popular bands in the Dallas area performing a wide variety of music and incorporating some buckets & trash cans in their routine as well. They love to have fun on stage.
June 24th There is no other band in the DFW area like Blue Hat! Blue Hat brings together five musicians of different backgrounds and genres that will surprise and entertain you. The variety of songs and talents is truly unique in this area. They specialize in fun music, including pop, rock and jazzy country.
